Theresa Tobin Macy, CPDMT

In addition to a lifetime of small business management skills, Theresa is a graduate of the Pfrimmer Institute and the Professional Massage Therapy Program at Cortiva/Pennsylvania School of Muscle Therapy.

Upon graduating, Theresa complemented her 20 years of experience in dental health care practice management with a clinical certification in Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy . Together, she and her business partner formed Advanced Corrective Therapies, a multi therapist corrective spa in New Jersey. Recently she moved her private practice to Morrisville, Pennsylvania and specializes in corrective therapy.

She continues her education studying Myofascial Release, Brain Therapy for Children and Adults, Lymphatic Facilitation and Cranio-Fascial Techniques. Theresa studies and is influenced by the work of Dr. James Cyriax and Therese C Pfrimmer. Theresa enjoys educating her clients about the benefits of massage not only as a tool for correction and pain management but as a complement to their healthy life choices in the prevention of disease and injury. She is an instructor at Cortiva Institute - Pennsylvania teaching Massage Therapy and Musculoskeletal Anatomy and Kinesiology, Business and Ethics courses.

Theresa has worked with clients with a variety of different goals and conditions ranging from relaxation to pain management. She has hands on experience with clients who have ALS, cerebral palsy, pre and post-operative joint replacement surgery, spinal stenosis, fibromyalgia, arthritis, carpal tunnel, chronic neck and back pain. Her intent is assisting clients to increase flexibility, improve movement and manage pain by Turning Chronic Into Occasional©.
